“This is an artistic interpretation of Esrum Monastery’s surroundings. The map was created in collaboration with monastery staff and local people we work with, who pointed out their favourite places in the surrounding landscape: little idyllic moments nearby, represented here by stars. (...) The map hangs in the trunk of common alder that once stood by the stream. Gribskov, located to the west, high up in the landscape, is at the top left of the map, while the stream flows green-blue through the middle of the map, from the lake on the left towards the Kattegat on the right.”
